Jagoda Risteska James is Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Mobility Challenge, an Organization which works for empowering people with disabilities in Macedonia. Jagoda earned a Bachelor's Degree in Management from the University Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. She has first-hand experience with a disability known as Muscular Dystrophy. She also participated in the 4th Women's Institute on Leadership and Disability in Eugene, Oregon in 2008, organized by Mobility International USA, which inspired her and her colleagues to start their NGO Mobility Challenge a year later.
In 2013, Jagoda spent 4 months in Washington DC as a Community Solutions Fellow sponsored by the US State Department. During this time, she learned about disability movement in U.S., Independent Living Centers and accessibility in public transportation.
In 2018 Jagoda graduated MSc Business Psychology from the University of East London. She is experienced and self-motivated leader, passionate about psychology, and committed to empowering women, children, and youngsters with and without disabilities.
From September 2020, Jagoda moved to the UK where she lives with her husband, continuing her engagement in disability rights and empowerment of people living with disabilities.
Jasmina Risteska Kasprzykowski has been active for 20 years in the field of social inclusion of persons with disabilities. She is co-founder and Project Manager in MC - Mobility Challenge since the beginning. Jasmina graduated in Management at the Faculty of Economy in Skopje and MSc in International Human Resource in the U.K. Being a person that experience disability herself, she is passionate and devoted in empowering other people with disabilities. She has extensive international experience in projects in disability, inclusion, youngsters, women rights, personal development, sexual and reproductive health, and rights.
Svetlana Zivkovic is Secretary of the Mobility Challenge. She has first-hand experience with a disability, caused by Polio. Despite her disability, she is a true fighter in life being a wife and a mother in an environment that is very closed and stigmatized. Svetlana is a real example of how strong and dedicated a women with disabilities can be. Her vision is to see our Community open for inclusion of people with disabilities, free to enjoy their rights for education, employment and a social life in general.
Mujesira Deckovic is Co-Founder and an activist in the Mobility Challenge. She has first-hand experience with a disability, caused by Polio from an early age. From her own experience, she is motivated to work on a better inclusion of people with disabilities from R. Macedonia in all spheres of a social life. With a huge understanding of all the limitations that women with disabilities are facing in our Society, Mujesira has a vision to see that all people with disabilities enjoy their Human Rights.
Biljana Manevska is born and living in Veles, RM. Paraplegic and wheelchair user since high school graduation. Graduate from the Faculty of Philology, Department of English language at the “Ss Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje. Member of several NGOs both on local and national level involved in disability issues. Participating in numerous projects, campaigns and activities in relation to raising public awareness, removing architectural barriers, proper access to public buildings and services for persons with disability, etc.
